Another Abrupt Ending

I am certain that God puts situations into our lives to teach us something. However, I often wonder why it happens so frequently with me. Perhaps because I'm not a huge fan of change. The Stolley House was doing INCREDIBLY well, with nearly full reservation lists with each dinner that I put on. It was, in fact, doing too well. I was told that I had too many people in the house, even though I thought the point of my being there was to get people in the house. The Historical Society Board was contacted by the city (who actually owns the house) and they found a clause in their contract with the city that states "no one can be in the house for profit". So, I'm out.
It's been so much fun and I just love what I do but this too, is coming to an end. As I am eight months pregnant, it's a good time for me to take a hiatus. So, in the meantime, I am looking for a new venue to share my meals. I will be at Full Circle Venue two Thursdays a month, starting in May, but I am also looking for a smaller venue with a quiet atmosphere. So, if any of you out there know of anywhere like that, perhaps a business owner who might like to sublet their space at night, let me know.

  1. Every thing we have and can do is God-given. We have the talent to cook the most delicious food to cater to other people. Let's be thankful for our talents.
